Aww, how sweet!
When Prince William, Kate Middleton, and Prince Harry are out and about during royal engagements — whether it’s an event for their mental health awareness passion project, Heads Together, or a high-profile occasion such as Trooping the Colour — two things are always apparent. One, the married Duke and Duchess of Cambridge never fail to make us believe in true love, and two, Kate and her brother-in-law Harry have the cutest friendship!
Harry’s recent profile in Newsweek, provided further insight into his close relationship with Kate, whom he has known since she first started dating William back in 2003.
“There was no one filling the hole left by Diana’s death, and Harry seemed to be growing up without someone emotionally available he could lean on,” the piece stated. “Kate has helped fill some of that gap. When she and William got engaged, Harry called her the big sister he never had. He often pops into their apartment at Kensington Palace, where she cooks him a meal — roast chicken is reportedly a particular favorite.”
The pair reportedly share a love of Game of Thrones, with the Daily Mail recently describing the Duchess as Harry’s “lynchpin,” helping him out with everything from “cooking lessons” to “sensible romantic advice.” Indeed, Kate was one of the first family members to be introduced to Harry’s girlfriend, Meghan Mark
An insider continued to say that the Duchess is a big fan of Harry’s laid back attitude and sense of humor. “Kate has quite a different relationship with Harry than she has with William. Harry appeals to her sillier side because he is carefree, footloose and loves banter,” the article read. “He finds things funny about people and says so.”
There’s also the fact that Harry is clearly a doting uncle to Prince George, 3, and Princess Charlotte, 2. Remember when George couldn’t work out why Harry was on his best behavior in front of Barack and Michelle Obama because he’s used to his uncle being much more mischievous? Too cute!
